This pop-up New Year’s Eve party takes over one of the most spectacular settings in Cartagena’s old town attracting a glittering crowd of Burning Men and Women for a hot and steamy affair.
The organizers like to bring the glitzy crowd closer together for some vacay bonding by throwing some pre- and post-NYE parties including a warm-up gathering on December 30 and a follow up raves on January 2 and January 7 as well as some recovery sessions at the islands.
There are packages that cater to your appetite for getting FUBAR over the festive period. This is the fourth year they’ve thrown their annual blowout in Cartagena.
In terms of lineup they have announced a host of international DJs booked including Saraga, Luca Saporito (Audiofly) who will headline at this year’s New Year shindig. Moun, Yazay, Saad and friends will be playing at the after-party from 05:30. The after-party goes hard well into the early hours of New Year’s Day. Bring your best burning man outfits to leave an impression.
There are multiple options for VIP tables that come with an all-you-can-drink tab behind the bar. Get them booked early to avoid disappointment.
Another bunch of DJs have been booked for their afterparties on January 2 and 7.
Why we like this for NYE: While this is a pop-up that shows up for NYE and does little to support regenerative travel in the destination through the rest of the year, they do try and support local artisans by organizing pop-up shops for visitors. The parties are epic and capture the spirit of early 2000s pop-ups in Cartagena.
