Day 1 — Arrive in Bogota.

Arrive in Bogotá and get settled into your luxury hotel, selected by our travel specialists to suit your needs. Whether you’re traveling solo, or in a large group, Colombia’s ‘capital of cool’ has something for everyone. 

Discover Colombia’s largest metropolis on foot with a local insider. Get the backstory on La Candelaria, Bogota’s picturesque colonial district and marvel at the Spanish architecture, well-preserved plazas and jaw-dropping street art murals. After clocking up your fitbit quota for the day, treat yourself to a traditional pick-me-up of fresh farm cheese, warm bread and hot chocolate at La Puerta Falsa, an Alice-in- Wonderland-sized eatery with a recipe book going back 200 years.

Day 2 — Market to Table.

Set your alarm and head out early for a market tour to Paloquemao, the nerve centre of Bogota’s culinary scene.

Watch in awe as chefs and locals scramble for the freshest pickings of fruit and veg and sample some delicacies for yourself.

For dinner, awaken your tastebuds at Harry Sasson, a trailblazer restaurant that’s put Colombia on the global foodie map.

Day 3 — 100% Colombian.

Depart Bogota and head to the south of Colombia’s hypnotic coffee region, Quindío.

Melt your stresses away in the scenic surrounds of Hacienda Bambusa or Biohabitat Hotel, two organic retreats with with eco-friendly hearts.

Learn about farm-to-plate culture and fill your boots with hearty and wholesome meals made fresh by local chefs. In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to get lost in the aromas of Colombian coffee at San Alberto farm, where you’ll learn about the growing process from bean to brew.

Day 4 — At Leisure.

Trek through Cocora Valley, a serene cloud forrest with exotic birds, flora and fauna and a spectacular palm tree climax.

A well-earned, late lunch at Helena Adentro—a charming restaurant which focuses on local providers, ingredients and traditional cooking techniques—will lift your spirits no end before you set off once again to your third and final destination, Cartagena.

Day 6 — Cartagena.

Welcome to Colombia’s jewel of the Caribbean.

Steeped in history, this postcard-perfect colonial city has become a haven for gourmands and culture vultures.

You’ll have the chance to get stuck right in to the culinary treats, with a tasty ceviche and cocktail tour with a foodie insider.

Day 7 — Culinary Traditions.

Gain first-hand experience on how history, culture and food intertwine in Colombia with a traditional cook out in a local home in Palenque, a small village 90 minutes away from Cartagena.

Small yet mighty, it’s home to the proud descendants of the first settlement of slaves in the Americas.

After gaining an education to the Afro-Caribbean backstory of the country, return to the city where another homemade feast awaits you.

This time, it’s a 7-course menu from game-changing chefs, Jaime Rodriguez and Sebastián Pinzón. Prepared to be left speechless by a cutting-edge tasting encounter with Colombian cuisine in a hush-hush setting.

Day 8 — Do it Yourself.

Seafood is king in the Caribbean, and you’ll have the chance to understand exactly why when you join local fishermen for their daily catch of the day at La Boquilla, a fishing village north of the city.

After returning back to the city in the afternoon, your own culinary skills will be put to the test when you learn how to cook some home-grown favorites with an hecho en casa feel at one of the city’s top restaurants.

Day 9 — Hasta Luego.
